"Went for Sun lunch after rave reviews from friends. What a lovely place, but freezing cold when we sat down at 12.45. Our starters were very nice, lamb beef very tasty tender, far too much veg, roast potatoes hard as nails, but cold plates warmish gravy spoilt it. Will return to try their evening menu. People on next table complained also."

"Being a burger man and very picky when prices are only slightly above standard I will hold my hands up and say the wild bore burger is in my top 3 ive ever eaten. Lovely seroves too and dogs are welcome"

"This pub is more upmarket than the majority of pubs in Caerphilly. It has table service for food as well as drinks if you want it. The pub is clean and well decorated with a fab atmosphere without being rowdy. My husband and I called in for dinner early evening. We were served by Joel who was friendly but also professional and couldn’t do enough for you to ensure you enjoyed your meal. We ordered the kebabs which were delicious and better than some of restaurants in Caerphilly town! Will definitely be back."
