"Great little pub. Friendly, busy comfy and great atmosphere. Have loads of things on during the year. Beer fest, quiz nights and a beer belly race for charity. They brew their own beer too. Ole rosy is rather popular, unfortunately I'm not a beer drinker so can't comment."

"Had a nice time here for a 30th birthday, eating was amazing (the white chocolate cheesecake was a small piece of heaven) and the staff was so friendly helpful, very attentive to all our needs. eddy is an amazing host stuarts eating is for perfect team to die! many thanks for a fab night xx"

"Really well presented Farm shop and Cafe just off a main road and cycle path. The cafe food was really tasty, Bacon was a bit too fatty but still enjoyable. Staff were really pleasant and efficient. We sat for brunch in the courtyard on a picnic bench in the blazing sun which was lovely. Vehicle entrance is really tight and easily missed. Farm shop is impressive with a good selection of fresh and preserved foods, local wines and spirits. Definitely worth a trip to visit. We couldn’t leave without a slice of the Lemon Meringue Pie….(see the photos. The Italian meringue was Marshmallowy) Will be returning and recommending."

"Probably the best coffee shop in Consett. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is freshly baked in the shop. I had a freshly baked scone and washed it down with a hot chocolate. My favourite place to go to chat up with friends in a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit"
