"Superb food, friendly and intelligent service. Great kids' menu! Some of the mains could have been larger, as could the salad (that was supposed to be shareable but wasn't), but some items were not charged for, so 5 stars it is!"

"Just had the most fantastic meal at The Crown of India! The food was piping hot and delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient, and there was no rush to finish each course. I have eaten takeaways from here before, which were always tasty, but eating in the restaurant was such a great experience that we'll definitely get off the sofa next time! Can't wait to come back. The complimentary drinks and special pickle tray were a great touch."

"Managed to get a pass out from the kids…so off to our local! Beautiful pie, mash and veg and a burger for the hubby. Couple of glasses of Merlot and a pint for him. Great service and a fabulous family pub. What more could you want?!? … And these views!"

"Sunday Lunch. It was amazing value £20 for 3 courses. Lots of choice and good service. The ingredients were freshly cooked (including yorkshire pudding and vegetables). The portion sizes were generous. My only tip to the owners would be to reduce the portion sizes on the meat and improve the quality by making it locally sourced. We will be back."

"We were booked in as a group of 14 with only one or two wait staff but they coped very well. The menu was quite large for a small pub. The dishes were standard fare but all were well prepared, delivered quickly and largely together (not easy for a large group but greatly appreciated). Most of our group were very happy with our burgers, salads and fajitas. The staff were good humoured and polite throughout. No complaints here and we’d go back for sure"
