"We had a lovely stay at the Rising Sun! It's a very old building, so there are some quirks here and you can really tell the new management is working hard on updating some of the more run-down or out of date aspects. They were so nice and accommodating, making our stay feel really special. Aside from the cooked breakfast, all the food was simply amazing. They have a wide range to choose from and there's not much else to say than delicious. Finally, the area is absolutely beautiful. There's tons to do between 10-20 minutes away by car, and driving down the road to get there is very impressive. It's not a good place to stay if you don't have a car though, as there aren't any pavements along the roads."
For those who want to a beer after work and sit with friends or alone, The Rising Sun Inn from Longfield is a good bar, In the morning they serve a varied breakfast here. Sometimes you may not want to eat a lot, in this case one of the delicious sandwiches, a healthy salad or another snack is just right, Lovers of the British cuisine are impressed by the comprehensive variety of traditional menus and enjoy the taste of England.

"Easy enough to book online about 2 years since we last went. Pleasantly surprised open arrival as greeted by a waitress and led to our seats. We were asked if we were having the carvery and wanted to order drinks which we did. Tables were very clean despite it being quite busy at 5.15pm. Drinks arrived and we were advised we Could join a small queue for the carvery. The carvery was very nice and was accompanied by some banter from the cook. The food was enjoyable. Once finished the waitress asked if we wanted some puds which we promptly ordered. Again the afters hit the sweet spot and we thoroughly enjoyed our early evening out. We asked for the bill. We left a reasonable tip for a friendly waitress. Great to finally to be able to eat out again after such a long time."

"I surprised my sister for her 50th with an afternoon tea at this lovely hotel/restaurant as a relaxed end to a birthday week. And it was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds, the service the food were all perfect. And I was very impressed with the Covid precautions that the hotel were taking, so we felt safe to enjoy our delicious cakes. Thoroughly recommended!"

"We have always enjoyed the nice cafe and although there have been past hicups we still go back.Obvouisly thing have had to change due to Covid 19. i cant work out why we can no longer have a pot of tea. The reason given was to cut down on extra handling which I kind of get but in that case why cant the tea pots be placed where the self service mugs are and we can make our own. Seems simple to me. Also find it frustrating that its card only. When did cash not be legal tender! Maybe someone forgot to tell me!"
