"As always it was immaculately clean, the staff is all friendly and attentive. it is covid safe and they are trying to calm those who are nervous to eat out in these difficult times. the tables are well spaced and wiped for each customer, the menus are easy. nothing is too much annoying, eating is excellent and plentiful. since discovering it a few years ago it has become ours. highly recommended and all my family and friends visit now too!"

"I've been here before and it can be a bit slow on service, but the food has been ok enough in the past (although only ever had breakfast). However last experience was terrible. Service was so so slow. Took them ages to take our drink order, and then it took them even longer to make our drinks. Whilst waiting for drinks they didn't come to take our food order, had to flag them down. They then started making a fuss about there possibly being a wait on food...We assured them we only wanted 3 sandwiches with chips and 1 fish cakes. Fish cakes arrived after about 15 mins so 1 of our group ate whilst we watched. Sandwiches arrived 30 minutes later so we had them packed up to take away. Got them home....dry, stale bread, hard bacon (in the club sandwich), so much red onion. Just the worst food and service ever. Will never return."

"Stayed at the Black Bull for four nights and it was just perfect. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with everything you might need. The bed linen was high quality I slept like a log! and the hospitality tray was very generous. I was in Room 1 which had a bath and shower, and which overlooked Blidworth Main Street. It was great to see village life going on! The host, Elaine, was vey kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious beautifully cooked as were the evening meals (I ate there one evening and explored further afield on the other evenings). A fascinating and historic pub, carefully and perfectly restored. Very good value and highly recommended."

"Another hidden one from a take away we found only a few miles from our door quite randomly after our regular Indian has been closed....so we decided to look for an alternative. incredible accomodating owners like to choose the right dishes and even ready to deliver their individual needs. eating is quite openly excellent, and the prices are extremely reasonable. would give 6 stars if I could, but 5 stars take away all the way to this crisp place. highly recommended ."

"I visited here with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. My food arrived on a bed of undercooked sliced potatoes. The chef 's response, via the waitress, was they were cooked today . No offer of a replacement, apology or acknowledgement that there was anything wrong. I asked to speak to the manager but pparently that 's the chef and he refused to speak to me. I was eventually offered a reduction of £3 off our bill. Incredibly poor service which spoilt my meal and we left without ordering dessert or coffee. None of us will be returning."
