"After having a quiet drink in the beer garden we decided to have a meal and what a great decision that was. The food was really nice and inside a lovely traditional bar area. "Average food at high prices . Steaks were tiny , chips were frozen , haddock was dry and overcooked, starter bread was inedible as too hard . At no point did we have a check back , which is a basic standard in any restaurant. Distinct lack of any service or attention to detail on a Saturday night with the place very quiet. Shame really as lovely setting and building just need more focus on the customers and make the food amazing rather than run of the mill standard"
