"We decided to try 1912 for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. It was not crowed but nicely busy. The service by the friendly staff was great and the food was excellent as was the wine. Not over prices and decent portions that you could finish. An perfectly cooked and very tasty Sirloin steak."

"We mainly get takeaways and the food is always amazing. Authentic and very tasty. The chicken just melts in your mouth. Have never had that from any other Indian Restaurant. The restaurant itself is very pleasant and relaxing. The staff are very friendly but be...prepared for service to be quite slow. We expect that now and allow the time to just relax and enjoy our evening out. The food is definitely worth the wait!!!"

"This was a spare of the moment lunch stop on our way to Edinburgh for 2 Aussies that had no clue what it would be like. We were not disappointed at all, great pub, delicious food and wonderful service. The manager and my hubby had a great chat about whiskey, he gave hubby a few tips on some good ones to buy while in Scotland. Highly recommend The Rowan Tree, the Ale Pie and cheesecake were delicious. Thanks so much for a great lunch"
