"Was a bit disappointed with the food for the price paid. Ordered a Carvery and most of the vegetables were dry and hard, not a large selection. Also no vegetarian alternative to meats or gravy from the look of it. Price for the meal was a lot more than what it was worth. I understand it is a small, local pub but just not the best quality but maybe suits locals as it's quick and easy."

"Haven’t been for ages but the food and service was still fab. We had a tradition pot of tea with proper cups and sorcery. Ribeye steak cooked to perfection and those amazing chips. Wife had steak and Stilton pie which was full of steak. Honest traditionally cooked food and very good price."

"I would like to try the Sunday lunch cart and I can say that not only the size of the dish was cooked with fresh local products, larger than average the food for perfection. both my wife and I said it was one of the best pub dishes we've ever had. we drove so full of the pub that I could hardly talk. I was in a lot of pubs where you get a massive amount without the taste, so this just all crates. I often drive this place on the way to the doncaster airport or take people there. I will make sure it's on my way back or going somewhere. my wife said it would be better to have a good meal here than the bland airline meal."
