"We spent a month in Florence and Montalcino was a beautiful two day excursion. While the Brunello properties we visited were outstanding, re di Macchia was the highlight of our visit. The service was outstanding and the menu was so good and varied it was hard to choose each course. Surely it was everything Tuscany can offer. Reluctantly we had to choose and every choice we made was perfectly prepared and delicious. Don’t miss this gem. We wish our trip had been longer offering another opportunity to dine here….next time!!!"

"We had a group lunch of 6 people. We were crammed into a small table with very little space. Wine selection was excellent! Food was great from Wild Boar to pasta dishes. I wasn't overly impressed with the pasta as I had had better thought out italy. Great location and I would go back to try something different."
