"Great food, and great service for dinner. The restaurant is run by students/ teainees of the Melbourne Polytechnic Preston Campus (formally NMIT) the ambience in the dining room is like a 4-5 star restaurant setting. It's a cosy atmosphere. Plenty of tables, but booking is recommended as it can get quite busy. The price is also cheap, $30 for a 3 course meal, they are licenced and do beer, wines, cocktails and mocktails."

"Good food in a great location. It was cold in the outside booths in Winter but would be beautiful on a sunny day."

"The last 4 times I've ordered they have either not sent the right items, missed the add-ons I've paid for, or substituted completely unrelated items without advising. Tonight is the last time. Uncooked garlic bread. Spaghetti carbonara with chicken in it, when I ordered mushroom gnocchi. Paid for extra toppings. Didn't receive them."

"We had an intimate family get together in the Il Nido function room to celebrate a 60th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was excellent the food, the service, and the ambience! Our thanks to Nevenka, Claudia and the staff for going out of their way to make this a memorable day for both my mother in law and father in law."
