"Pretty okay place to go for some Chinese food, and dim sum. In the evenings they are out of anything fried though, so get there before like noon if you want over half of the menu for dim sum. Service was adequate, but definitely not great."

"I was here three times, every time I had the Omikase. Just the best sushi I've ever had. If I had to choose between all the amazing dishes, I would say that the oyster trio was the most interesting, diverse and richest plates. Definitely expensive, but worth it, in my opinion. Expect to pay about $125 per person if you make it to the end for the Omikase."

"Nice little restaurant, food is tasty, with good menu selection. All the wait staff were wonderful, except for the older lady serving us. I don't think she deliberately was trying to frustrate us, but wrong food orders, unbrought drinks, combining 2 different orders to one plate, and then serving it without saying anything (that person ate both and when other asked for their's, she said it was on the others plate). Celebrating a birthday and we brought a cake, she total us it was $1.50 per person to eat, which we told her that was fine. She never gave us plates to place our cake servings on or a knife to cut, Just charged us 1.50 each.(party of 8). With a $400 bill, you would expect more attention. Because of this only 4 stars."

"Japanese Restaurant Aki makes me feel like I’m in Japan! The location of the restaurant is in between alleyways among Kaimuki restaurant row 1137 11th Ave. I find it very cozy and cute of a location! The restaurant is semi open door! I love the big open window and open kitchen design. Speaking of the foods, all dishes were so perfect! I’d go back to try the rest of the menu. Here’s photos of what we ordered for the table."
