"This is a long overdue review. To clarify (as it wasn't clear to me), this restaurant is located at the Inn at Gore Bay. Beautiful, picturesque location by the water. The atmosphere, while upscale, is also rustic and charming. The service is impeccable and friendly. We mentioned how we enjoyed our meal and got to meet the Chef and his team afterwards. We went when indoor dinning was still not allowed, but really enjoyed sitting in their large front porch. There is very limited fine dinning options on the island and this one is quite good with an extensive wine list. Pricing is good for what you're getting. We really enjoyed our meal and thought everything was well executed. They use local suppliers, although I think they could focus even more on it. This is something the island in general doesn't promote enough. My only other suggestion to elevate the dinning experience would be to have more in-house made dessert options. But I appreciate this is not easy to carry out with a smaller operation. Also, I should note, we were told this restaurant and the inn are open all-year around. It is certainly worth visiting if you're on Manitoulin."

"The fish was great! The batter was light and crisp, and large pieces, just a bit greasy could've dripped for a few more seconds. The lady running to bus, serve and take orders was ultra pleasant and welcoming."

"Recently stopped in for a late weekday lunch. The single employee working the dining room was swamped but remained very pleasant throughout our visit. The 4 of us all ordered halibut and chips. Very large portions, reasonably priced and the fish was absolutely amazing, well worth the trip from Sudbury to check it out. Will definitely be back. Truly outstanding fish and chips."
