Stopped by for coffee and cake after taking photos at the beach. The cafe is in a side street close to the Maroubra beach with both outdoor and indoor seating. Coffee was delicious and my carrot cake was tasty. Hubby had a stack of pancakes which was yummy. Lots of interesting brunch and lunch items which we will try on our return. What User doesn't like about Zebra Cafe:
Had a very disappointing visit to Zebra Cafe, ordered the calamari and chips, I tasted the dish and couldn't eat it. The calamari tasted like rubber, it was disgusting. Not crispy and chewy like I would have expected. Very poor standard for a place on the beach. I would not recommend it for food. View all feedback.
Super friendly staff the cafe is always clean, the carrot cake is a must, Acai bowls are great value. My fav local breakfast spot on Maroubra beach, try the haloumi pesto poached eggs stack. Yum
Went for a quick feed after a swim and was nicely surprised at the fish and chips they served up! Staff were so friendly I dropped a knife and spilled coffee everywhere, waiter came around to help straight away. Highly recommended!
Came here on a freezing cold morning looking for a healthy option before training. I ordered poached eggs and wholemeal sourdough and a cup of tea (or pot as it was). They use Sonoma bread. Was just what I wanted. Saw another lady with a porridge and fruit that looked very tasty. Plenty of other menu options like baked eggs, BLT, chia pots of acai pudding. I also got a huge latte with beautiful latte art Employees were nice and service was fast. Customers here seem to be regulars which is always a good sign.
Went for breaky on a Sunday experience was overall quite good.We were seated quickly at the window of the cafe which was nice.Took us a while until we got someone's attention but in fairness, it was super busy.I had the quinoa breakfast bruschetta and it was delicious! Nice ambience, good coffee, staff are friendly and easy going. Would go again.
I had lunch here recently and tried the beef burger and chips together with some coffee. I’ve had meals here a few times and they’ve all been good. The coffee is also very good. <br/ <br/ It has a relaxed environment inside which is not a surprise given that it’s next to Maroubra Beach. The feeling is also generally cosy. <br/ <br/ Service has been good and it’s definitely one of the better outlets in the area.
