We have visited this restaurant several times after giving them another go after our failed visit. We called in last Sunday and there was young female staff on. We ordered our coffees only to be bought across the wrong ones. This was easily fixed...but the coffee was more like coloured water. Flavour? None. The milk? None. good food and coffee to great praise. many older people eating here, we thought the prices were reasonable and they were. good meals, personal friendly.

"I first reviewed this gem in 2014. So I thought an update was worthwhile. I must say its not often you get to write two reviews 5 years apart but my interest in this place has not waned. Well it's still all about the coffee and it is still the best in town. And the love and passion for the beverage comes out in everything they do. Since the extension a couple of years ago there have been some steady changes for the better. In my last review I said the food was almost non existent. Bit by bit that is no longer the case. The food offering is still basic but delicious but now there is enough of it that I can happily come for breakfast or lunch and enjoy it. The other difference is that with a bit more space I now often come mid morning and get my laptop out and get a bit of work done in a really nice environment with a great coffee. In the end its still all about the coffee and its still great over the entire 5 years since my first review."

"Over priced compared to other unique fine dining experiences in SA.. Having to pay reservation fee not expected at many other SA more exceptional dining experiences. Service was not as good as expected. Some of the extra costs etc on the menu were not explained. Think you can find better value for money."
