They even had our name written on the reservation plaque! Good chorizo and seafood rice! And mango sangria! All a little salty but overall delish. Perfect spot before event at the prudential center. View all feedback.
What BrianT dislikes about Sagres Bar & Grill:
We picked this spot because it was close to NJPAC and we were seeing a show at 7pm. First off, the service was really good. The servers were very polite and tried to cater to my wife's dietary needs. The food was OK. I would probably come here again, if I had to, but would not be first on my list. Quaint little Portuguese restaurant, definitely a locally known place, with cute outside seating, had a lovely live duet singing and playing guitar. I
If you are an Ironbound tourist, get off Ferry Street and walk down Prospect to eat at the best spot the locals know.
Ambiance: loud, vibrant The restaurant is intimate.
Sat at the bar and Robert was taking care of us. He made amazing drinks for us. You MUST try one of his specials. The food was served quickly and was cooked perfectly. I will be back!
The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!
