Listen, this is a really nice place on the outskirts of kingsley village, so just a short walk for us. the personal is friendly, the setting is beautiful and the food/drink is good but (and it is a big but). £3 for a single roasted tee cake and over £4 for a cappuccino! I'm sorry to say, but spoiled by the, honestly, blackmailed praises. the only reason, though a very important, not to go. they get a lot of repeating... View all feedback.
Best bacon & egg burger in the region - and I've tried a few. Coffee was excellent as well. Plenty of waitstaff, all busily tending every need. My new regular.

We arrived and seated ourselves. We waited a few minutes and then picked up menus from another table as we had none. The waiter arrived shortly after to take orders for drinks and food. The drinls arrived over a few minutes. We had got a couple of bottles of water for ourselves and asked for some more but instead of taking the two empties we offered he walked off and returned with another and added this to the already crowded table. About 5 mins later two of the 4 meals artived but no cuttery which the waiter brought after a min or two. The second lot of 2 were served a few mins later by the same waiter but again she had to return with cuttery. Nothing too bad but just a little disorganisation which could easily be addressed. The food was good for the most part however one of our friends asked for crispy bacon which was anything but crispy. There was lettuce on the side of all meals which was left and when the waiter who turned out to be the manager arrived to clear she commented on the fact that she telks the cooks to not add lettuce but they continue to do so....maybe the staff need firmer directions. All in all a pleasant experience and worth a visit. The place is run by a local family who are hard working so support the locals please. The place is in the centre of town and appears to be a home conversion to a restaurant with quirky decor.
We arrived just after 8 am for coffee and breakfast. We were met at the door by a friendly and helpful waitress. We chose to sit in one of the rooms with a fire place. This place has real character! We ordered coffee first and these arrived promptly. The menu is good, not too extensive but if you're coming for smashed avo, you might want to go somewhere else - no avo on the breakfast menu at all. We both ordered the Farmers Breakfast with modifications which were not a problem. The food arrived fairly quickly and the servings are huge! Delicious food at a really good price. We're going back to trial the cakes.
Enjoyed our delicious eggs bennys at this quirky cafe on Sunday morning. With 2 excellent coffees and OJs it was great value for $50. The gas fire in the front room was most appreciated. Browsing the extensive bookshelves & admiring the paintings in the historic building added to the experience.
