"We ate here on the chalet staff's day off4 adults and 3 small boys all had a beautiful meal we thoroughly enjoyed in cosy surroundings beside a log fireChausson de mon Grandmere was an exquisite puff pastry pie which tasted divineThe 3 cheese fondue was simple but delicious Savoyard food-shared The risotto was perfect and full of flavourThe boys had Steak( home made ground beef Burgers) with tasty triple cooked chips which the adults stole shamelesslyAll that and 1 1/2 litres of fully mature house red for €130 was less than twice what we were charged for rubbishy lunch in Plagne CentreService was prompt We hadn't booked I would love to go backThough it is in the village, the easiest access would be to ski there but in the last week of the season, snow did not extend that far"

"Booked in advance as we were a party of 16. All fine on the phone, reservation made no problem. When we arrived, we'd been split up (half on a table upstairs, half on a table downstairs) as they'd received more bookings since I phoned and they'd split us up so they could fit more tables in.... Not a good start. Waiter was very friendly and helpful (owner considerably less so on the subject of the reservation) and most of the food was tasty and well cooked. However, my husband and I ordered the cote de boeuf for 2 (medium to rare) and when it turned up it was pretty much inedible - over cooked to the point of no return and a really chewy piece of meat. We complained and were told that it had been rare when it had left the kitchen (it must have taken a detour via Australia before it reached our table) and that we'd eaten it all (we only managed to choke down half and then sent the rest back) so it must have been fine and we were clearly complaining about nothing. Customer service is not something that the owner of this restaurant understands. After much arguing, it was begrudgingly agreed that we would only have to pay half the cost of the beef. I would not go back."

"What can I say - the restaurant was packed but the service swift and sure - great theatre from George - two of us had the fixed price meal and George flambéed the meat in front of us all with a large part of a bottle of brandy - my wife had the Millefeuille Agneau which was tender and delicious - watching George making the creme brulee in front of his guests all added to the entertainment - great restaurant - great staff - great food - highly recommended"

"A table of the Plagne that I will not forget. Homemade!!! For me beef skewer in front of me! With homemade fries and vegetable cassolette. A pure feast of eyes and taste buds!!! A well-filled card and a quick and smiling service. Thank you very much Marie for this great moment!!! I'll be back with great pleasure."

"Visited here with friends in early March 2020, shortly before CV-19 lock down. The food was excellent. We all selected different dishes and every one was very happy with their meal. Portions were the right size and my steak was spot-on. The waiting staff were friendly and professional and also the owner's were upstairs (we ate in a small room downstairs with very eclectic decor) and engaging even with our poor French. I will definitely return next season, hoping that they survive the shut down. By the way; La Godille is the other restaurant worth a visit."

"This is the hidden gem of the resort. The food is amazing and the Calzone is the best I have ever tasted. Best to arrive at 2pm after the lunch rush. It's good value for a mountain restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. Situated at the bottom of some epic forest runs. Blue and red. The Roche lift takes you back to the heart of the resort."

"Food and service was excellent, we dined here on a number of occasions and would highly recommend. Staff were always friendly and welcoming, lovely atmosphere and food. Also great for a quiet drink on the side of a blue run past Plagne village to Plagne centre."

"Good stopping point when returning to la Plagne from the Champagny area. But 16 euros for two small coffees and a small piece of tart is too much. It was quite cosy inside. We found a comfy seat with furry cushions. There is a bigger restaurant upstairs. We had a piece of walnut tart which we had to take back because it was too hard to eat. They warmed it up for us and it was then edible."
