"We spent a week there every night as part of our hotel. The food is good The best dishes are pizza and pasta. Don't order anything else. Fries are a disaster. Salads are good too. "Booked in advance as we were a party of 16. All fine on the phone, reservation made no problem. When we arrived, we'd been split up (half on a table upstairs, half on a table downstairs) as they'd received more bookings since I phoned and they'd split us up so they could fit more tables in.... Not a good start. Waiter was very friendly and helpful (owner considerably less so on the subject of the reservation) and most of the food was tasty and well cooked. However, my husband and I ordered the cote de boeuf for 2 (medium to rare) and when it turned up it was pretty much inedible - over cooked to the point of no return and a really chewy piece of meat. We complained and were told that it had been rare when it had left the kitchen (it must have taken a detour via Australia before it reached our table) and that we'd eaten it all (we only managed to choke down half and then sent the rest back) so it must have been fine and we were clearly complaining about nothing. Customer service is not something that the owner of this restaurant understands. After much arguing, it was begrudgingly agreed that we would only have to pay half the cost of the beef. I would not go back."

"Despite the name, there are only a few vegetarian options and all vegetarian options involve lots of cheese... The veggie burger minus cheese is just a bun with chopped mushrooms and pepper in and the pasta is made with egg so isn't an option"
