"Excellent service, friendly staff, cool music. We had the Parrillada and the Steak/Hähnchen was very good. The Chunchullo was a bit undercooked for my taste and the sausage was simply ok (salty and lack of this true Spanish taste). The roasted potatoes were not noticeable, but the asparagus was for them. My husband loved the grilled octopus. The dessert was removed and it shows. The top was free ice cream for children. Cool atmosphere and staff, will return to try more tapas."

"Doing a simple door dash order. Literally for one item. I arrived inside to wait for it at 11:05 pm. They close at midnight mind you. After waiting for like 15 minutes inside, and watching the manager get on the loud speaker and literally YELL at the guests inside to get out so they can close (there are elementary school aged children with their parents), he also starts yelling at the people waiting for pick up to wait in the drive thru. It’s almost 11:45 and I’m still waiting for this poor guys order. My customer is understanding so I’m not at all worried about that. I just can’t believe he yelled at paying customers and children like that. The rest of the staff was really nice and tried to help everyone, but he would literally get in between them and customers and just start putting people out. If he talks to customers like this I can only imagine how he talks to his staff. Just unprofessional"

"Why is it so dark! Music plays in the background a little loud for my tastes. Initially we did the fried chicken meal as an appetizer. We shared it amongst the four of us. That was the juiciest chicken I have ever tasted! I didn't know chicken breasts could be so good! The collards were so good and I'm not a veggie girl. I didn't see a drink that I wanted on the menu so I asked the waiter if he could make me a pineapple upside down drink and he didn't disappoint!Strong!!!!!!!! Steaks. My friends shared a tomahawk and it looked very fatty to me. They loved it. I got the bone in rib eye and it was good. Needed some salt and something else....not sure what. I need to learn my preferences when itcomes to wet aged and dry aged. I think I'm a wet aged girl. The steak I had was dry. Or maybe it was the other way around. Sorbet for dessert for me. The others had chocolate cake that looked moist but wasn't. Oak Steakhouse is great forsteaks. I will definitely be back."

"My lasting impression I'll take away from our first experience at Lapeer is 5-star service one would expect from a high-end restaurant. Our server, Amanda, was knowledgeable, attentive, personable. We were able to take advantage of the $2 oyster Happy Hour special appreciated the accoutrements. Steaks are the real star of the show here. Perfectly cooked with a nice grilled flavor, they use superior cuts of beef. The interior was surprisingly dark loud. We probably wouldhave opted for a patio reservation had we known which is brighter, quieter, enclosed. 4 cocktails, 3 appetizers, 3 steaks w/sauce 3 sides ran $500 including tip. Overall, it was a solid meal we would revisit when in the mood for agood steak. Be advised, parking can be challenging as there is no dedicated lot or valet."
