"This is almost a literal hidden gem. It's a little hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for, even with the sign they have facing Ball. Great diverse menu and their bread is really good. I usually opt for whatever lunch special they're having that day because it's the best deal at around $8 with chips and a drink. The sandwiches are always good sized and I almost always have leftovers. And like their name says, their cookies are really good too, especially the black and white. I've never had an issue with parking but since it's in kind of a business park, if it was particularly busy I could see it being an issue."

"I've been going to Lee's sandwiches place for many years, and I've seen the quality of the food and the appearance of the shop. The ingredients taste more and more stale. The furniture is no longer worn out. The chairs look like they were bought 50 years ago and never changed. The owners are nice, but all this environment contributes to customers who appreciate the food less and less. The El Toro Store has the same problem: you've never refreshed the store, it looks like he only suffered a zombie attack."

"Food was good, had the traditional banh mi was average, missing some extra flavor the cold cuts were average. Would we go back, probably not.The restrooms are disgusting had to take my little one, I think it ruined my appetite after."

"Admittedly, it's cheap fast food, but Lee's sandwiches offered some of the most vulgar food I've ever eaten. There are so many more authentic, fresh and tasty Vietnamese sandwich sites in Southern California (many sandwiches sold for even cheaper). In my opinion, Lee's strength comes from his convenience and is such a successful franchise. But comfort is not everything. So the vulgarity comes in. The food on Lee's sandwiches is like a sleep with a 5-dollar hooker. It could feel good for a few minutes, but you can quickly see how cheap and dirty you feel after it. As a favor to friends I tried Lee's special combination, cured pork, grilled chicken and barbeque pork sandwiches. They all had extremely cheap, synthetically tasting meat, decorated vegetables and an overwhelming dressage of oily mayonnaise. The hard bread hurt the roof of my mouth on many occasions. The first few bites feel great when you are a poor starving student, but later bites demoralize and disgust."

"I actually ordered Grubhub from here after a long day in Disneyland, so I cannot speak to the service inside the restaurant. But my food I received was one of the best meals I had on a 10 day California trip. The bang bang shrimp bowl outstanding"
