"One of the worst meals I have had over the years. This bistro was once a wonderful place to eat and enjoy a wine. Not on this occasion. The wine was great as it is hard to mess that up. (Bendigo region has some of the best wine in Australia) Steak lunch with salad and chips was very disappointing. Incorrectly cooked and poor quality steak. My friends steak had to go back. Also poor quality. When we asked the waitress about the steak cooking not long enough she intimated it was not her issue. What do you want me to do about it. Staff were rude. Service was poor. Oh how this place has fallen. Avoid this place is my new motto."

"Good solid pub food. Was busy and managed to squeeze into the bar for a meal (Wednesday evening) recommend booking ahead. Had the medium rare steak which was cooked just right , good chips. Service was great and it came out really quickly. Highly recommend if in Bendigo"

"Great experience trying the Korean BBQ. The staff give you the initial direction on how to prepare your meal then its all up to you. Plenty to eat, great flavour and for some a novelty cooking at the table for yourself. Well worth the experience. Loved it."

"As the current COVID-19 pandemic is currently in full swing my family and i thought it was time to support a local business' however when being delivered the service and quality of food from the Metropolitan we were very dissapointed. the food tasted great but...the presentation was not appealing at all. That wasnt the worst of it, the guy i spoke to on the phone was exceptionally rude he didn't even give me his name when he answered which I thought was disrespectful and unprofessional. Overall it was a very disheartening experience being in the current pandemic the world is in my family were supporting local businesses' and usually wouldnt order here but went out on a limb and we have been highly dissatisfied."
