"Right on the Monon Trail so you can exercise those burgers and ice cream treats off if you wish! Bubs is famous for the Big Ugly burger which is a full one pound burger. I was not up for that and chose the Settle For Less Ugly burger at a quarter pound. You have your choice of beef or Elk burgers. I chose Elk and found it leaner than beef with a very similar flavor. It was delicious smash burger style with a buttered toasted bun, lettuce, tomatoes, onions,pickles and mayo (on the side). We also ordered a side of waffle fries, and they were cooked crispy, which is how I prefer them. I do not enjoy soggy, wimpy fries. As it was my friends birthday, we ordered a chocolate milk shake and a scoop of mint chocolate ice cream. High quality and delicious. Our server Tobias was very good, responsive and helpful. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and watching the world go by on the Monon. Parking can be difficult in this part of downtown Carmel, so it is a bonus that Bubs has its own dedicated parking lot."

"Food was not flavorful at all. The seabass is actually considered to be perch so don't expect the seabass taste. The veggies had no seasoning on them either and salt and pepper didn't help. "Not sure what’s going on here, but I used to go there to get lunch with my coworkers. Last time we paid $85 for Tacos and a flan. We look the prices on the the menu and they didn’t match with the bill we paid. Again, one of us went today and they over charged that bill as well. This place is not like Verde or anything fancy. Not sure how such a small amount of food can be $85 like that’s a slap on the face."

"Food was great. Wonderfull infact. Both nights. We went 2 nights in a row because we really enjoyed there frozen margaritas.. both nights food was great, but The service?? ???2 nights in a row 2 different servers exact same experience.. Horrible service. Very very amateur. Don't expect any refills, or sour cream or any service outside of eventually Taking your order and bringing your initial drink. should you order an alcoholic beverage(wich is the whole reason we went) prepare to be waiting on it for sometime... Bar wasn't even busy either night literally 1 or 2 people sitting at it. Bar tender sat around talking , took at least 20 to 25 minutes for drinks. Food was great but the restaurant itself is not ranwell. manager just walks around."
