"The restaurant itself is very nice and relaxing. The wait staff are all friendly and attentive. We went for brunch on a Saturday. Be sure to make a reservation! We had the pimento cheese omelet; excellent! The peppered bacon, great especially if you like pepper. Only item I would warn you about is the biscuits and gravy. Good portion, biscuits are good, but the sausage gravy is way too heavy on the sage. Way way too heavy! You will be remembering ALL day long! I recommend the Huck but don’t fear asking questions about menu items."

"Republic is one of my favorite Charleston spots when it gets warm out. I love the vibe they have created outside and it’s just a great place to have fun with friends. Their staff is always beautiful and friendly. Kaitlin was very attentive and was super fun. She made me and my girlfriends experience there a 10/10."

"I loved my meal. My wife ordered the apricot French toast grilled cheese, but the sandwich had little discernible cheese! Didn't say anything because she enjoyed the meal but that makes us hesitate to go back."

"Out in Charleston for vacation. Stopped by here to try it out and use an open table award. Have eaten at many of the Charleston restaurants over the last 15 years. So have been trying out new things lately. Place is super tiny no more than 2-3 people can sit at a table, limited dining area and there is a very crammed patio. Menu is limited and for a lobster roll, the lobster was very good and fresh, but the amount was rather small. Maybe I’m a bad judge, after going to Maine a few years ago and the insane amounts of lobster you get there. Drinks were also limited to wine and frozen drinks. They don’t have a full liquor license. Not a big deal but I’m not sure a place this small can survive on such a small niche."
