"Eigentlich wollten wir hier essen gehen, doch der Biergarten (trister Innenhof mit Bierzeltgarnituren) war jetzt nicht so einladend und der Gastraum in welchem wir zuerst standen war sehr sehr dunkel. Zwar schön mit Holz vertäfelt und rustikale Möbel, aber die Beleuchtung war viel zu dunkel. Trotzdem schön.Deshalb sind wir nach dem Essen nochmal auf ein "Helles" vorbei gekommen. Erst haben wir ewig gewartet und dann unser Bier an der Theke selbst bestellt. Auch hatte die einzige Bedienung kein Interesse daran, nochmal bei uns vorbei zu kommen. Von Gastfreundschaft war bei der jungen Dame auch nichts zu merken. Wortloses abräumen oder hinstellen der Gläser...kann man auch anders machen. Bezahlen mussten wir dann wieder an der Theke, weil Sie nicht mehr vorbei gekommen ist.Also großer Name, schönes Mobiliar, gutes Bier, aber leider der Rest eher enttäuschend. Essen haben wir allerdings nicht probiert."

"It is a Bistro-style place, with dark wooden interior.They got outside seating during summer times and a winter garden throughout all year.Food was surprisingly good (especially the Pizza).Prices are average for Coburg and decent for the quality of food.Location is rather remote but within walking distance to the city center and the train station. However, there is not so much around in case you think about bar hopping.Service, mostly by students, was good. But it was on a Tuesday with the place being not packed!"

"Situated across from the Landestheater, just off of the main pedestrian zone, sits Kunstlerklause. We began the night with a beer outside, listening to opera singers practicing/warming up in the building across the road. As it was nippy, we moved inside to find a very cozy restaurant where we had our dinner.The meal we ordered was typical schnitzel (pork), which was served with a small salad and potato salad. We were disappointed with what was delivered to us, as the schnitzel breading was more like a batter (it all came off at one point), and the potato salad had many pickles in it, which we are not huge fans of. While the meal disappointed, the actual building and location was nice which is rounding our review up to an overall average."

"We have been guests at Hessenhof for years and have always been very satisfied! The ambience is very beautiful and lovingly designed and the staff is attentive to every desire. The food is really delicious every time, beautifully dressed and it is the right thing for every taste. We'll definitely be back!"
