"I booked for good Friday for 16 people for two o'clock two weeks before and confirmed a couple of days before turn up at two o clock was met at the door by the manger and was told there was no booking for us I...was gob smack he said he would try and fit us in and that there was a hour and half wait for food off the menu they found room for us and I notice the pub was half empty most of my party order off the menu and the food arrived in 20 minutes????? Not sure I was being lied to so not happy"

"Had problems with just eat. Shocking these days that to order food you have to go through an app but it is what it is. Sad times. Had problems. Order cancelled twice by system. Tried third time. Went through. In the 3rd time I actually added more food on so they would have made more money from me. Called the take away to be greeted by someone who couldn't be bothered to find out facts, and said we've cancelled your order. I tried to say well that's why I'm calling, coz evidently I want the food. No interest in helping. When I asked for the manager they slammed the phone down. Called back to get a rude, pedantic man. When I asked for the manager he said there wasn't one. How can you run a business when no one is in charge. Says it all really. Hence the appalling service. He talked and shouted over the top of me, I kept saying can you hear me over and over because there was that much noise in the background I wasn't sure whether he was just being awkward or genuinely couldn't hear. He still kept shouting over the top of me so couldn't be bothered to find out his facts. I tried to tell them there was a problem with the justeatapp, in case there was more than just me. He had no interest, says its all my fault, it's just me. He just wouldn't listen. How to ruin a business. It resulted in me insulting him with a name and swearing. I couldn't help myself. Jumped up little man. I used to order from you quite a bit. Not any more. I'll go elsewhere and make sure I pass word round although from the reviews I'd say it won't matter. Your food isn't the best. The only reason I ordered from you is because you want the lowest spend on the app. Shocking. Disgusting. Obviously thinks he doesn't need the business. Next time I won't call up to discuss if there is a problem with another restaurant. I'll just let it be problematic and escalate. Ruined my evening."

"Used this venue regularly over last 10 years .Food was always good service good.Prices gone thru the roof since Covid ...£5.25 for 125mm red wine is city price! The pub is still a very nice place BUT last visit marred by a younger group using excessive bad language ..not nice when ladies are present is it ? ! Management need to curtail this as it disrespectful to customers bar staff ! It deserves better ambiance than this needs to return to its original very nice quality !"

"Booked about 2 hours before our arrival, booking is easy enough online. Arrived 30 minutes before our slot but were still able to get a table and service throughout was excellent. Food was good value for money and every dish we had tasted great."
