"2 visits at this bar (2015 and 2016) both times I have found the food and staff are excellent, so easy to chat too, the locals and the owners nice and friendly got to give steve a special mention what a diamond.the bar is rustic but well managed and nothing is to good for the customers I wish paul mann the new manger all the best in this new position and if you get the chance to visit flip flops do not miss out you will regret it. "Le Chalet is conveniently located on Rizal Boulevard. The menus is large and the food is always good. The staff is friendly, the service is always good. The only place in town that I know of that has a salad bar. The food portions are always plenty for one person."

"I would recommend this place for a nice night cap with friends along the Boulevard strip in Dumaguete City. They have a good variety of drinks and a good wine list plus tapas. I was informed by wait staff that Thursdays are tapas night (though you can double check this yourself). If your looking for a nice spot along the many choices along the boulevard, this is a good one."
