"Did lunch here with a couple of work mates as we wanted some Vietnamese and this place came recommended. Its got a nice interior and decent ambience and the food we ordered was really nice. Was a bit understaffed at the time though I felt. But the service was quite pleasant and prompt nevertheless. I would definitely recommend this place."

"The restaurant is too cramped with many tables and chairs, it fell very tide for a small restaurant. concerning eating, the escape was good and the pornstars we had the huh, that was dry and lack of taste, but my daughter...love all dishes, the second dish prawn with red Thai sauce, it was ok much taste not too hot and last dish was sizzling Mongolian steak, too sweet and dessert that was disappointed mango and cocoose it was. as we have to buy this good of livingsocial the only disappointment, as we have 4 bowl rice at $2.50 a bowl, surely it should be included in the good certificate"

"Don't let the appearance of the small inside restaurant put you off. We had take away. Food was very well priced and of good quality. Service was friendly and quick. Restaurant inside is small and I may not eat in. But take away id highly recommend. We will be back :)"

"Summary: <br/ Spotlessly clean, extremely polite staff, reasonably priced hot and tasty food, quick service. Highly recommended!<br/ <br/ We were on our last day of visiting Melbourne, and decided to have a quick bite to eat before crashing at the airbnb down the road. I was immediately drawn to Bamboo Garden because it looked so clean. <br/ After tasting the food I decided I had to leave a review. <br/ We got the pork fried rice, chicken fried rice, chicken and sweet corn soup, Szechuan chicken with vegetables and half a dozen wontons. <br/ The fried rice was just how I like it, proper vegetables- not just the diced mixed veg you get at some takeaways, spring onion, egg, everything finely chopped- no fatty bits or gristle, no greasy oily texture. <br/ The Szechuan chicken was tasty, with crunchy fresh vegetables. Soup was tasty, well seasoned and hot. The wontons were a tiny bit over cooked at the very edge, but made up for it with the filling. I'm used to pork wontons, but these were chicken. A really beautiful mix inside, delicate wrapper and the perfect size. They came with a small tub of sweet and sour sauce which didn't overpower the wonton. Portion size was generous but not enormous. <br/ The service was exeptional- possibly the most polite staff I've ever encountered. We could see the entire kitchen which was spotless and tidy. The chef looked like the real deal his wok was piping hot. <br/ Some of us decided to eat in, while the rest got takeaway. There is a small booth inside the shop which accomodated all five of us pretty easily. The cutlery and plates were clean. The menu board was uncluttered and easy to read. Prices were reasonable. <br/ For such a small takeaway, I was just blown away by how nice everything was. I wished we had one this nice anywhere in Brisbane...<br/ <br/ PS: I'm astonished at the 3 star rating- must be a few competitors trying to bring the score down? Anyway, I almost never bother to go online and leave a review- I think this is only the second one ever, but The Bamboo Garden deserves it."
