"Hidden behind Economica, visiting this bar is like a scene from The Grand Budapest Hotel Rum is their specialty with a large selection to choose from."

"Stellini is a small, unassuming bar/restaurant tucked away on Little Collins. I had a quick lunch at Stellini and thought it was pretty good."

"Goodbye Der Raum hello Bar Economico! Gone are the days of $20 cocktails that take almost as much time to make as an episode of Friends."

"Despite this restaurant having closed several months ago (dare I say it, a year ago?...oh how time flies) I wish to say a few things to redeem the reputation of a restaurant which I will sadly miss. I had the pleasure of eating at Nudel bar on several occasions, indulging in a cheeky extended lunch break here and there (because yes, the service can be a little short of prompt) Having said that, their curry laksa is like nothing I've ever had before, and I've certainly had my fair share of laksas. Basically, what I'm saying is that I'll miss this place despite some of its shortcomings. And for those of you who call the service poor, didn't you ever meet the nice middle aged lady who takes care of her customers like they're her children? She made that place like a home. Anyway, I hope someone can recommend a restaurant in Melbourne's CBD which can surpass the quality of Nudel Bar. And preferably cheaper! You know those places which charge $10 for a laksa? That's because they taste like $10."

"Had high hopes but was surprised to find that the place is very small and feels stuffy. Friendly staff but drinks are over priced. No specials on weekdays on drinks."

"Had booked an area in the balcony for a birthday party and the set up was perfect! Tim and the crew on the night were great and provided a stellar service! I recommended this place for any function you need and Sharon the events manager was very accommodating as she helped me organise everything perfectly and I didn't need to worry about a thing! Everyone had a brilliant night! The food were excellent as well. Will definitely be back!"

"First night out after lockdown 6 and thought a few cocktails at one of my favourite bars would end our night perfectly. Wrong! The Doorman, a friendly chap, advised us they were full and we could try the bar next door or on the corner...and come back later. We weren’t keen to go anywhere else so decided to head off. About to leave and the Doorman told us to wait and he’d pop inside to check if anyone was leaving. Short story long, he came back and said he had managed to pull some strings and we could head in, yay, result! Note, nobody came out before we headed in. Inside, the place was pretty empty, over 50% of seating areas empty, well under the density limit and yet we had been told they were full, just bizarre! Reminded me of an episode of “Curb your enthusiasm” where Larry is seated in the back of a posh restaurant even though the front had available tables. Story was the ugly people were hidden at the back and the attractive out the front. My partner commented that maybe because we were in our 40’s that this wasn’t the demographic they were trying to attract. Rubbish I said, our age group has money to spend and we’re not ugly! We enjoyed a nice gin cocktail and decided to head home back to our baby (because we’re not OLD) and as we waited at the bar to pay, a male bartender quite aggressively demanded my partner put a mask on. As my other half explained he had an exemption the jumped-up bartender just turned his back on us then handed the machine over to pay, bloody rude! Gin Palace, teach your staff some customer service and maybe rethink the Full policy because that was ludicrous."
