"In Kalgoorlie for a couple of days and found this place and was not disappointed. The pizza was excellent. I had the works with anchovies and nothing to fault."

"Was absolutely fantastic, some of the best Indian food I have had. Definitely didn't expect it in Kalgoorlie. Only let down was that staff didn't put BYO drinks in the fridge or provide ice buckets."

"I have been to Mamma Mias a few times now and i love the food, the decore and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The portion sizes are above average and the prices are very affordable. It is just lovely having an italian style restaraunt in Kalgoorlie."

"We shared a burger and chips here. It was big enough to cut and each have half and share the chips! Good food, good prices and good sized meals."

"Having eaten most of the options on the breakfast menu, I rate this as possibly the best breakfast location in Kal. There will be the odd day where you have to wait a while, but they have heaters so in the winter you won't mind staying a while. My top two recommendations are the bacon and eggs or the pancakes. Mushroom delight was nice too, but a little heavy on the mushroom by the end of it. The breakfast wrap was pretty serious having hash browns inside. As far as drinks the Mocha was perfect (taste and size."

"At this place twice in a row. Nice breakfast with some different breakfast items, which are welcomed by the usual cafe style. Solitary juices and professional coffee. I love my coffee! Small place, but look for the flags. Very recommended for every visit to...Kalgoorlie. Try the fungus halloumination for a vegetarian treat. Thank you."

"The York is a delightful, old, Goldfields hotel that has not been tampered with much! Owners have resisted the urge to enlarge the downstairs, admitedly 'cosy ' bar area, by canabalising too many adjoining rooms. Thus you still have the ambience and heritage of an original...building. The distinctive, high-ceilinged, entrance hallway, dining, and lounge areas downstairs, and wonderful, bifurcated, timber staircase leading up from the lounge to the accommodation level, were presented immaculately. An inviting balcony runs the full external width of the building upstairs and that was where we gathered for drinks at dusk. It was a lovely experience to be on top of all the hustle and bustle of the main street, to have a view out to the sunset and to enjoy a few glasses of wine before dinner. We were shown great hospitality by the wait staff and whilst we could have dined on the balcony, we chose to move in to the dining room for dinner. Like all other areas of the hotel, it has been preserved lovingly and it was a pleasure to dine in a room with such character. The menu had enough choices for our varied party of 6. The table shared some starters which were all tasty. The mains were delivered earlier than we would have liked but were all otherwise very enjoyable. The York seems to have found a happy balance between honouring the tradition of its architecture and adapting to modern expectations of less formal entertainment and dining."
