"Stayed overnight and had a lovely experience. As I am disabled we were thrilled to see a working lift to the second floor. Our room was cosy with a walk in shower as we had requested. There was a kettle and amongst others, Taylor 's coffee sachets. In the shower there were lovely 'White ' toiletries and fluffy towels. The Restaurant was roomy and airy and the food was delicious, hot to the table. The menu was varied and hard to choose from as everything sounded delicious. The staff were professional and very friendly, they couldn 't have been more helpful. Outside on each table there are real potted plants making the area bright. Very thoughtfully there was a basket of throws to use if the temperature dropped outside. All in all every bit was enjoyable. Thank you all."

"THE. BEST. CHIPPY. ON. EARTH Seriously though it absolutely 100% is the best chippy we’ve found in the North West. We regularly travel from Blackpool area just to get chippy tea from here. It’s consistently brilliant! Fish batter perfect and crispy and chips that are just amazing. Not sure what they do to them that makes them so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside but they are next level."

"Cosy place by the canal, a great choice for a rainy Sunday early dinner. We had the roasted pork loin £14.99) and the fish pie £13.99). For dessert, warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. All of it was delicious! Portions are generous and the prize is very reasonable. The staff was also very kind. 10/10, will definitely come back!"

"A very cozy traditional British pub. A very charming atmosphere, generous portions and the staff was absolutely lovely. We went on one of the life music days and it was all very pleasant. I ordered the fish n chips and it was very tasty, served with mushy peas and mustard It was my birthday so my friends ordered a slice of cake as a surprise and the waitress brought it with a candle as they all sang happy birthday, a very warm and charming detail, thank you so much, I had a very special time!"

"We attended a wedding meal here last Wednesday. Staff were pleasant and smilies, nothing was to much trouble. Food was fantastic. Eaten there twice in the last week and the Sunday lunch was lovely. Will definitely be dining here again. Looks fantastic after the recent refurb with a fantastic outdoor area."
