"This is our favourite place for our girls lunch. We discovered Baxter Tavern because its roughly midway between my home and that of the other ladies who live in Rosebud, Nyora and Narre Warren. We have been to Baxter Tavern several times and would highly recommend it, that's why we have kept returning a few times a year for the last 8 or so years.Love the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly, its sort of like the old fashioned pub. They have lots of open fires blazing away in the winter to keep everyone snuggly and warm while eating and a separate gaming area room where they supply free tea and coffee for those playing the pokies.The food is absolutely delicious, I have always enjoyed their food and never had need to complain. They do have large servings, often striving to get through it all and never left there hungry. Great variety of choices, they have different specials on different days.You select your own table, go to the counter to order and pay, tell then your table number from a stand at the table you have chosen and they bring your meal when ready. Service is usually reasonably fast and they clear the table quickly when you're finished leaving you to chat and take your time, no rush to get you leaving as they have plenty of tables throughout 2 areas.Not sure what it would like on say a Saturday night though as we've only been for lunch during the day, I assume pretty packed though as I'd expect it would be quite busy.Plenty of car parking, easy access and departure as its on the corner of Baxter-Tooradin Rd and Fultons Rd (which is the extension of McClelland Dr Frankston) and they have driveways on both roads.They also have a drive through bottle shop and accommodation but I've never used either of these services."

"We had a wonderful lunch today in the cafe restaurant. The menu had lots of interesting choices and the food was delicious. The service was spot on. After lunch we wandered around the sculpture gardens and enjoyed the variety of art very much. We will be back again very soon. Well done!"

"Trivia nights on a Wednesday are a blast. Just don't be in a hurry for your food. Wait times can be longer than a delayed train across the road. That being said the popcorn chicken is hands down the best thing on the menu, puts the Cornel to shame. Don't let the fact that this bar is located in a dark and dingy part of Frankston stop you from expiencing one of Frankston best kept secrets. This place is just like the Nanny. It has style it has flare."
