"At long last, I finally ate here last night. And oh my goodness.... it was absolutely superb. I was desperately hoping it would be good, and it exceeded my every expectation. Deep fried crocodile, Chimichanga (deep fried shredded beef burrito), Boston Butt (pork shoulder with BBQ sauce), Boudin balls (deep fried cajun sausage balls), hot wings.... absolutely sublime. And, added bonus, the atmosphere was awesome, the staff were wonderful and the overall feel of the place was just fabulous. My new favourite restaurant! Literally can hardly wait to go back to try some more of the dishes on the menu. It's so rare to have a 5 out of 5 dining experience these days but Smokey Joe's you've nailed it."

"This is a fabulous burger joint! We drove into Launceston hungry and discovered this gem of a place and their food did not disappoint. The ATMOSPHERE is cool, hip with plenty of tables, a long wooden bar top and a very modern mural on the wall. The place was spotless! We saw staff wiping down tables numerous times, and very quickly right after people left to accommodate the next customers. The STAFF, was genuinely friendly. They seem to enjoy a good chat and were very knowledgeable about their menu, and showed the genuine interest in their restaurant and their customers experience. The FOOD, we were starving when we arrived and so glad that we were. Give us an opportunity to try several different items off the menu. We ordered two Americana and they came out just as we ordered them. Also tried one of their signature hot dogs, a large order of french fries and seriously one of the best order of onion rings I have ever had. The LOCATION, the restaurant is in the city so if you drive in you need to be prepared to pay for street parking. Which is easy enough to find and not that expensive. The restaurant is also close to the shopping precinct, so making a day of downtown and parking once is easy done. All in all, a lucky find. We will be back and think you should check it out!!"

"What a great little place for a meal, we are vegan and our meal was excellent. The service was quick and very good value. Highly recommend this place for a meal. The black coffee was exceptional also."

"3.5 if I were allowed such precision. Fast food is fast food. It doesn't win accolades for health and nutrition, but at least I find the place better in this regard than other fast food outlets. You at least get lettuce and tomato on a sandwich (wake up McD and KFC! and you can substitute coffee for the soft drink at a reasonable cost to cut down on the sugar intake. For those who hail from outside Australia, this is the Australian subsidiary of Burger King International."
