"Always check your order before you drive off... they forgot one of our burgers! Lucky we check otherwise we would of had a starving family member. But the food seems to be always fresh which is what matters and KFC does the best chips"

"If you find yourself in the town of Mackay for any length of time, and you like chicken, be sure to make your way to Chick-A-Dee Takeaway on Nebo Road. This place has some of the best roasted chicken you have ever tasted. The bird is stuffed with a delicious dressing before it is roasted. The meat is tender and juicy, and cooked just right. We ordered a half of chicken and some chips. The woman behind the counter prepared an order of chips and asked us if we wanted gravy on them. We both looked at one another because we had never heard of such, and in unison, said, " no thank you". The look on the woman's face was one of genuine disappointment. And, in a questioning tone, she said, "you don't want gravy"? In order to make her feel better, I said, oh sure, let's give the gravy a try. When we got back to the car with our meal in the takeaway bag, we both mentioned her disappointment that we did not want the gravy. In short order, we learned why. Those chips with that gravy have to be one of the most delicious things we have eaten since traveling to Australia. They are so good, we'd vote for a franchise back in the States. On second thought, perhaps that's not a good idea. We have enough overweight Americans as it is, and it would be no time before we would have to count ourselves among them. Chick-A-Dee Takeaway is located on Nebo Road which is a major street with parking all along the street in front of the building. Just thinking about this place makes me hungry. I might add that the prices are very reasonable, and a great value."

"Had drive through. Been long time since we've had Red Rooster but the lady in drive through helped with our order to suit our family and even gave us extra boxes and cutlery to assist in our impromptu picnic dinner. Haven't had service like that in a very long time. Merry Christmas to all the staff, our meal was delicious and hot, cooked perfectly. Thank-You."

"Had to line up waited 20mins for food then when i got it was 2 chicken wings when i asked for no chickens wings. I asked for 3 peices of chicken, know that i can get a whole chook from woolies for $10, eleven dollar for 2 wings a thigh and a pepsi is a bit rich. Wont be going back and going to tell everyone i know at every chance i get."
