"We took elderly in-law's out to lunch on New Years day. The staff were really accommodating. Opening an access door and making sure we were able to take the shortest route to the table in the air-conditioning. And they were happy to give us a child's meal for our very elderly dad. This was above and beyond what we expected but very much appreciated as the dear old fellow would rather just have a plate of chips than waste food and the kids steak was just right for him. The service was excellent. The venue with all the old signs etc was good too. Gave the olds something to chat about. The location is good because it is in the old part of town and again revived some memories. Pulling into the laneway provided easy access to drop off and pick up. And for us more able bodied the meal was up to the usual standard that we always enjoy at hogs breath. Steak just melted in your mouth. Salads were fresh and crisp. Hubby enjoyed his vegies. Grandad enjoyed the curly fries too and was quite intrigued about how they were made. Outstanding service made it a really pleasant outing and a great way to spend precious time with hubby's mum and dad. ( the loo is upstairs so lucky we didn't need that)"

"We had a work meal at this hotel on 6/7/2017. Between us we had the steak, voted the best in town, fish of the day, ( to small for the price), chicken pie and beef pie. The steak was the best meal for value. Well cooked, served with veges or if desired you can have chips and gravy.Parking is easy and plentiful. Staff are pleasant and eager to please.Toilets are dated but clean.Restaurant is clean.Overall a good experience."

"Made a booking for Thursday night for 6.30. When we got there we were glad we had booked. They were busy - which is great to see. Problem was they were understaffed. The girls were moving but also training a new staff member was taking its toll on time management. The bar girl wasn't moving at the same pace as the manager or other floor staff. We watched guests even go up to the side bar and collect their own drinks that were waiting to be collected.Our food took about 45mins for mains only. The ribs were soft, tender and everything you dream ribs to be, but they were luke warm at best. The chips, onion rings and spuds were piping hot so it was obvious the timing was out in the kitchen and the ribs waited for everything else to finish cooking. Credit to the kitchen staff though - cooking for a full restaurant with 3 people is not what chef happy dreams are made of.Our previous experience was below average and with the latest dinner - if my partner had our ribs and rumps loyalty card on him, he would have handed it back."

"Lately I haven’t had much luck with hogs breath my meals are usually cold but today I ordered there lunch menu takeaway and it was fantastic the lady who served me was wonderful overall it has changed my opinion on hogs breath and will definitely go back"
