"Many restaurants would like 5 stars just for opening their doors. As customers, going out means it should be special. And Coriole did prove to be special for us. Booking was easy on line. When we arrived the restaurant was full. It was wintry day...but the room was warm and inviting. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table, right next to the window, with the panoramic view before us. Warmth from the well placed heater ensured we were comfortable. Our waiter was very friendly and explained everything clearly, and also checked for any food preferences, even though it was a set menu. We had the 5 course lunch tasting with the accompanying wine. Each course was a celebration of local produce, much of it from on site. It was therefore entirely seasonal. The service was very friendly, whilst discreet. No butting into your conversation. All the courses were well presented. The presented meals were imaginative, and exceptional. The meals were not oddball, and rather were very well prepared by a chef that has skill and palate, and no longer has to suffer the confines of more traditional menus. I think a considerable amount of effort goes into getting every detail right, and doing so in a full restaurant, was exceptional, and so felt it was very good value. If you are into regional, seasonal food Coriole should be on your list."
