"We stumbled over this fantastic healthy restaurant today! Clean and airy with air conditioning inside! This is not a full service restaurant, but a restaurant where you can choose your food and drink at the counter, pay and find a table. There are several tables inside, but we decided to sit outside in the terrace. My husband is not a fan of vegetables or healthy things, but enjoyed his baguette and Gunpowder fries that come with their homemade curry ketchup and a delicious mustard! He said his baguette was tasteful and spicy good! The fries were spicy and the incubating sauces devine, although the fries are tasty. He said he'd come back to Hip Vegan! I ordered the Wagamama Bowl, who was heavenly to my belly! I love all Asian flavors in this bowl. The portion size of this bowl is generous and I could have it all, but decided to move me and take home for dinner later tonight. I definitely recommend the Wagamama bowl! I also ordered one of the seasonal fruit soups. I chose the watermelon juice mixed with soda. My husband had a beer on Hahn. After completing our meal, we flew our plates and garbage. Inside there is a station to get your own metal utensils and glassware for water, along with paper napkins. Hip Vegan is really a pleasant restaurant for delicious food and drink!"

"Because this is not a fully vegan restaurant I am only able to leave 4 stars, but for the items we had were vegan 5 stars here! in the did, my friend and I enjoyed the vegan food so much, we returned two nights to order the vegan pizza with cashew cheese. it was loaded with delicious and fresh ingredients: pesto, and a sled roasted vegetables including calibre. it was delicious and the crust was a perfect trifecta of soft, chew and slightly crispy. we also tried the cauliflower tacos that were brilliant. recommend this place and the oaxaca cocktail!"

"The açaí bowls have too much extra cane sugar added, they’re not regular healthy fruit bowls but instead more like sweet ice cream. Which defeats the purpose of a healthy snack. Worst part is no where is it mentioned that they add all this sugar unless you ask. They also add tapioca which again is not mentioned! Diabetics don’t come here. Updated from previous review on 2022-05-10"

"Best restaurant in Ojai (as far as :D . I constantly try restaurants and was disappointed by everyone. I was seriously not impressed by a single meal I had until here. Thank you. Exotic Thai, for DELICIOUS food! Both my friend and I called how good the food was on our first bites. We have curry and noodles, and both were incredible. Not only good food, but good food. Quality, tasteful, beautiful, great selection... everything you can ask. Besides, they were so friendly and have outdoor seats (woohoo! . This is definitely my go-to-spot in all Ojai now, and I would recommend it to everyone. To come back to add more: the spinach soup is THE BEST. I'm always looking for a place I can get really nurturing soothing food, and this soup is 100% that. Would eat when I'm cold when I'm sick or if I just want a warm hug in my stomach. I added one side of rice to make it a complete meal for me. Define my new one!"
