"I took my wife here to celebrate her birthday. It was our first time at Beckta, and it will not be our last. From the time we were seated until I payed our bill, we were treated like valued customers. The experience was wonderful. We opted for the blind tasting menu which was very fine. My wife also got the wine pairing option. We both have a few food allergies which the staff made sure avoid in our dishes. There was not one that we did not like. We will definitely return. Thank you Beckta."

"My initial impression was 5-star. The restaurant is located in a beautiful mansion, tastefully decorated. My waiter/sommelier was superb, friendly, informative, efficient....all of the things expected in a fine dining establishment.The food was totally disappointing. The only high point was my scallops. Novel preparation, beautifully cooked, a pleasure to view and to eat.....the only problem with them is that I was told they are gluten free....they were not and I was sick all night. Maybe it was the broth that was poured over top.If this Ottawa's top offering I'd go to Gatineau."

"I skipped going to the Arc for a while because the quality of the food had deteriorated but the restaurant now has a new chef and it's well worth going back. My guest and I had an interesting and tasty combination: smoked tomato soup followed by duck confit on a grilled baguette with cheese. It was delicious and cost only $17 Canadian per person. There was not an enormous amount of duck on one of my baguette slices, although this wasn't a major complaint. I'd definitely go back."

"Lai Lai has lost his touch, Crispy Beef was soggy, Singapore Vermicelli had pork chips, but very few shrimps, chicken roast rice was far too small, and chicken balls and sauces were served in foam containers, in 2019 these should be completely prohibited. Service...delivery was excellent. We'll use Wings from now on."

"There are many different things one could say about this kitchen. This place has the best mashed potatoes. Some days they have quality ingredients like roast beef or steak along with gravy. Other days feature such things as Italian fish and risotto. They serve enough vegetables to make your parents happy. There are green leafy vegetables for salad, which all of us need to eat more of. Chocolate milk and drinks are standard with meals. The Earl Grey Tea bags are excellent and very relaxing. And they have icecream. All in all, value and quality for students. Also love reading students comments about the food in TV."
