"We stayed at Chateau Beau Jardin and ate here one evening. The food, service and atmosphere were all lovely. My husband and son had the prix fixed menu which included hare, apparently a seasonal specialty. I had a burger with foie gras that was wonderful. Chateau Beau Jardin is a nice place to stay but if you are in the area and the restaurant is open, visit even if you are staying someplace else."

"Liked the food, couldn't complain about the service... There wasn't any!! hardly anyone came near us. No specials board, no bread offered, no wine poured, no dessert menu offered, etc. not good enough really."

"This place is pretty average. The food is ok but pricey. They won’t let you get a kids meal if you have no kids at the table. Which I don’t understand because 1. The meal cost is reasonable to what is produced. 2. If someone doesn’t want a big meal, they should be entitled to pay for a kids meal. My rating isn’t based on my kid meal theory. You’re paying $45-50 for a rib fillet thats less than half an inch thick. And an extra $10 for a garlic prawn topper. And I think that’s unreasonable. The quality and quantity to cost ratio is way better at the Palmerston tavern."

"After 2 decades in the game they know their things! Fast service (high sales with good size and estimated meals. I had the burger with the lot. (Inc: egg, bacon, root pineapple. That's what I call 'The Lot! ' Snapper, Chips Salad for my wife. Both were breathtaking. I have chips for my burger. The portion was very generous. I couldn't finish her. There was a stream of customers and telephone orders. You said 15 20 minutes. It was 15. Come on. Go on!"

"Went out for birthday dinner , service was fine. Got seated near noisy bratty kids although restaurant was barely full at 6pm.. Ordered the usual 18 hr steak medium rare.. It wasn't medium rare, more medium to well. Daughter ordered water, tasted like they just did the dishes in it.. Ordered the choc mud cake dessert, was expecting it to be chocolately, moist and yummy like it's always been... But no.. Was an old dry cake mixture, with no flavour .. Very disappointed... The tutti fruity dessert however hit the mark."
