"What a pleasant surprise! Very laconic menu, I had the soup dujour which was a tomato and beat puree with the fedichini alfredo. Everything was magic, most notably the service. I can't forget the beautiful local pilsner from Parsons brewing co. Dont forget to tip the wait staff."

"Chanced on Gus's whilst window shopping , and we were glad we did . Friendly greeting from the two waitresses , quick presentation of menus and drinks , followed by a great Club sandwich , and a Burger with fries - enough for 4 people , but we dug in and chomped our way through an enjoyable lunch whilst watching Picton main street drift past the window .My only complaint might have been that the a/c was set a bit too low ."

"Top shelf coffee and espresso drinks, outstanding pastries, great atmosphere.... Its our first time visiting the area but this is definitely our regular coffee shop when we're in town."

"Great place for ice cream that is open during the hours people eat ice cream unlike other places in town. The portions were huge and the staff was extremely nice. Lots of room to park and enjoy, or it's not a far walk from main street"

"We celebrated our anniversary Sept. 2nd by dining at Waring House. The service was excellent. Our server was welcoming, professional, and made a positive contribution to our experience. We have fond memories of Waring House, going back some thirty-five years. Our experiences there have been uniformly positive. Until this last one. Please be advised that the quality of our meals was so poor that, except for our history there, we would not go back. My wife had a steak. It was overdone, and virtually tasteless. I wondered about poor quality meat disguised with marinate. I had the special. Pickerel is challenging to cook, but done correctly has a wonderfully subtle flavour. Mine was overcooked, and even with the dressing was essentially tasteless. The visual presentation of both meals reflected careless acceptance of mediocre. Waring House over the years has reflected skillful management with focused attention to detail. We sincerely hope our negative experience was an aberration."
