"Sitting at a table on the floating pontoon eating fish and chips is lovely. It’s a very casual place, nothing glamorous, but for a casual meal it’s fine. I avoided the bathroom after reading the previous reviews."

"Fresh seafood at good market prices- actually had bugs which no one in port sold. Also prawns and oysters. Also can do little seafood platters. Lots of frozen options too. Lovely pontoon to eat takeaway food in the lovely surroundings. Well worth the drive out given the seafood co-op is now closed. Make hot food at lunch time some days too"

"We went to Scampi’s on January 2nd for lunch had the seafood platter for two. It was amazing especially the crab which was served up in a chili-chutney sauce. The service was excellent the views looking over Town Beach were sensational. What was pathetic is that when we turned up there was a sign up that said the restaurant was fully booked. By 1.30 pm it was clear most of these parties had not turned up hadn’t bothered to cancel, which was confirmed by the waitress. These people are trying to earn a living and this type of behaviour is unacceptable. What are these people thinking? Thanks for a great day Scampi's – we will definitely be back."

"Scallops in shell to start with, cooked to perfection in a pumpkin purée delicious. Black Cod with Asian greens for mains. Very strong taste but cooked well. Pannacotta for dessert, great taste but so small. Overall good food but expensive for what we had"

"Across our 4 days in Port, we have experienced some great food spots. Unfortunately this wasn't one of them!!It was very poor!I am sure they were missing a manager or someone providing direction this evening - the staff were literally all over the place. We saw meals and drinks coming and going to wrong tables, back to the kitchen, back to the bar.. staff were literally running (terrible waiting etiquette - you should never RUN to and from tables!!) The staff were all extremely young and there just seemed to be no one in charge! Admittedly, they were pleasant and trying to offer a decent service however it was obvious no one had a clue what they should be doing.The food was very average. My husband ordered oysters to no availability... no oysters at a seafood restaurant on a Saturday night!?Instead he got the prawns in prosciutto - he said they weren't very nice at all.For main he ordered the barramundi - again, he said it was terrible! He said he thought it was under cooked, the fish was watery. I ordered the pork ribs. They were ok. We would never go back nor recommend it. There are far too many other great places to eat in Port!"

"Might have caught them on a bad day, but the batter the fish was cooked in was terrible. Dripping in oil so much I could not taste the fish. Can't see myself going back in a hurry."
