"Almost always good service here from well trained, helpful, friendly staff. The menu has been truncated over the years, but there are usually some better than average offerings on the special or regular menu. I hope they continue to change these often for regular customers. The drinks are of good quality also, but the wine list asks too much for the vintages offered. Recommended."

"Always loved this place. Went for breakfast only one other group group in the pub Had to wait 25 minutes for our hot drinks which I had to ask for again. Had the buffet breakfast. The toast could of broke your plate in half . I asked for some more and it came out barely even warm certainly not toasted. My wife and daughter had the Avacado on toast. That took 40 mins .I had to ask for this again aswell . He only brought one out. We had ordered two. It was that revolting we didn't bother asking for the 2nd one. Come on Hillfield sort yourselfs out."
