"Always good and reliable. Sunday roasts are the biggest I've had in a while too. Staff are lovely and nothing is too hard for them, they actually look like they enjoy working there! Just a really good place for lunch, dinner or an afternoon sesh with live music....i only wished I lived closer to visit regularly, you'd see me every Sunday"

"We r over from U.K. visiting family. Found this place on trip advisor and it sounded good. Food was very good. We saw the Wednesday $10 pockets deal on the website. Slight issue is that the web site didn’t mention its 5 until 7 and...it was about 7:15, when I mentioned this the lady at the bar said she would put the order through for us. Staff polite, food was quick and fresh. The whole menu looks good, they make their own pizza dough."

"Had the best time!! Went for their bottomless brunch on Saturday, such amazing value! $75 for all you can drink sparkling wine, mimosas, bellinis, 4 course sharing menu. The cod dip with pork scratchings was so good, the scrambled eggs were creamy and delicious and chorizo dish with mash the perfect winter dish and how can I forget the chocolate tart!! Heaven! To top it off, service was spot on, ambience just great. Highly recommend! Perfect place to go with a group of friends. We shall be back!"

"Vascos is the place to go if you want an experience. I have been there many times solo when visiting Sydney for business, and this visit was the first with another person.It's noisy, but in a great way -created by the background of great rock and roll playlists from the 60's to the latest. I am talking Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters and so much more.The bar staff create amazing mixed drinks and the selection of beers is small but varied in style. My favourite beer was 3-sheets.The food was great quality, we had the prawns with a Calabrese style sauce and the calamari. Both good size to share.The owners and staff make everyone feel welcome, and you can tell a lot of the customers are regulars."

"Chilly, wet night outside and ceiling fans whirling inside equals chilly, dry night inside. We are going to the theatre downstairs and tell the waiter. We are there at 6pm so reckon we're safe for a 7.30 start ordering just one course. Wrong! Plates put...in front of us at 10 to 7. I do love to eat in a hurry, not. Food okay but not up to the SMH rave and certainly not worth the $34 a dish. And a glass of cab sav at $18 isn't pub bistro price either. This place exists to service the theatre feed and water people and get them to the theatre without indigestion. It was way better in both senses in its last iteration. This time it's pretension that wins. Not good."
