"They do an awesome fish cocktail, with fresh flavoured batter and not old burnt oil, it makes the cocktails taste beautiful. They have your usual range of food you get from a 'fish n chip' shop. Friendly staff and reasonably priced."

"Should have stopped at Umina to get a feed as eating in the boathouse was taken away terrible. the 15 crumb fish cocktails were roughly boiled. the crumb coating was a dark brown, almost black color. the actual fish was ok, but. by the disgusting taste of the crumbs. the 8 kartoffel scallops were unusable. the teig was a very pale color and soaked in cooking oil. the bottom of the box had an oil layer! the 2 chips were also limp and somewhat oily. also not a good taste. unfortunately we met with our family for lunch. the boathouse spoils our day! we paid over $50 for a totally catastrophic fish and chips. Give him a miss."

"We were just driving past, back from Sydney, heading to Umina Beach and saw the shop - decided to get Fish'n'Chips on the Beach DinnerBeing Kiwis we are really fussy of course - but got inside, it looked and felt fresh and clean, the Cook/Waitress was just awesome and were able to joke about Kiwis (found out the owner was a kiwi too)UNFORTUNATELY we never ordered enough of the yummy chips! Chips at places are normally horrible and we normally chuck them out - but there were FANTASTIC - fresh, crispy outer, perfectly cooked innersFish, like ALL places too expensive, but it was pretty yummy (couple of bones, but the fish shops fresh fish we bough had more!) Overall a wonderful experience and would def head back ..."

"We arrived just after 8:30pm on a Sat night and even though they were closing, they were happy to serve us. Not sure if it was due to late time, but we got more than we ordered at no extra cost! Fish cocktail pieces are the best!"

"Ho! Ho! Ho! We purchased Oysters (4 Dozen) and 2 kilo of prawns for Christmas! Oh my goodness your oysters and prawns are the best that we have had in years! Our family all wanted to know where we got our seafood from. All the seafood has gone. All gobbled up! Thank you so much for caring enough to provide us with the beautiful fresh seafood. I will be up there soon to get some more."

"Hub and I shared the seafood platter for two at Pelican's restaurant and couldn't believe how big it was! Great value! We thought the chips would have been better if they'd been cooked longer but everything else was very fresh and tasty."
