"This place was an unexpected find one afternoon & we were pleasantly surprised! The cake of the day was great value at $6 compared to the other items on the menu. We also purchased some gourmet chocolates & eyed off some of the other products available. Another visit may be in order!"

"My husband and I decided to have lunch here during our visit to Mackay on the advice of a friend. We both chose the Crispy bacon with pear and walnut salad. Well all I can say is, it was presented beautiful and was delicious. We would recommend."

"Having missed Brekky at our motel we set off for a day trip - and we stumbled across this delightful little cafe in Walkerston. Lovely and clean with a couple of very friendly helpful girls who knew how to make special order coffee and turned out a couple of beautifully cooked bacon and egg toasted sandwiches. A pleasant surprise to start our trip."

"We took elderly in-law's out to lunch on New Years day. The staff were really accommodating. Opening an access door and making sure we were able to take the shortest route to the table in the air-conditioning. And they were happy to give us a child's meal for our very elderly dad. This was above and beyond what we expected but very much appreciated as the dear old fellow would rather just have a plate of chips than waste food and the kids steak was just right for him. The service was excellent. The venue with all the old signs etc was good too. Gave the olds something to chat about. The location is good because it is in the old part of town and again revived some memories. Pulling into the laneway provided easy access to drop off and pick up. And for us more able bodied the meal was up to the usual standard that we always enjoy at hogs breath. Steak just melted in your mouth. Salads were fresh and crisp. Hubby enjoyed his vegies. Grandad enjoyed the curly fries too and was quite intrigued about how they were made. Outstanding service made it a really pleasant outing and a great way to spend precious time with hubby's mum and dad. ( the loo is upstairs so lucky we didn't need that)"

"Used drive through. Had 3 people take offer to take the order. Eventually had order taken Had a chips, chicken and gravy roll heaps of gravy and some chips. Had to search out the chicken. Looked nothing at all like the photo. The roast roll no peas. Hardly any chicken, heaps of gravy and pumpkin. Was total yuck. Waited for ages for this awful food. I have learn my lesson. Then hit the huge cant miss it pot hole on the way out."
