"Friendly staff and the new General Manager is doing an excellent job. It was good that locals also came into The Crown at lunchtime and in the evenings. The bedrooms and ensuites in the hotel are a good size, clean and well-serviced. Good choices of cereal, yoghurt and pastries for breakfast. Sausages, mushrooms and eggs were all cooked very well and there was a choice of other breakfast dishes. The Dinner Menu could be simplified. We thought the best Starters were the Mushrooms and the Smoked Salmon dishes and the best Mains were the Trout and Lamb 3 ways dishes. The Crown is within easy walking distance of the Woodbridge Tide Mill; one of only two in the UK. Sutton Hoo is about 10 minutes drive away."

"Very disappointing meal. Food was dry, chewy and sticky with few fresh ingredients, very unlike any other Chinese meal I’ve ever had. Barely any vegetables apart from a little cucumber. It’s not all nice and sadly, I don’t think we will be back. We keep trying this restaurant but it doesn’t improve"
